Friends of Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge Fundraiser

This month I’ll be raising funds for The Friends of Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge! Their goal is to support the refuge in its mission to preserve land for migratory birds and local wildlife (learn more about their work here).

Now through Friday 12/19, I will be donating $10 for each print and poster sold of my Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge Map - which you can find here in my shop.

I have long been inspired by Rachel Carson’s work, and really enjoyed exploring trails and public access points along the refuge to create this map. If you’d like to see a few more photos and map details, check out another post here.

“Those who contemplate the beauty of the Earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. There is symbolic as well as actual beauty in the migration of birds, the ebb and flow of the tides, the folded bud ready for the spring. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature - the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after the winter.”
